Volunteering Opportunities

The Tucson Jewish Community Center (Tucson J) is a community space located in central Tucson at the base of the beautiful Catalina Foothills. For over 60 years, the Tucson J has been a home away from home for Tucsonans of all ages, abilities, faiths, and identities. We serve more than 5,000 people from all walks of life who come to the JCC to grow, play, learn, and relax.

One of the highest ideals in Jewish tradition is chesed. Popularly translated as “acts of loving kindness,” chesed is simpler than that: It is an act voluntarily done by one person for the benefit of others - with no expectation of any reward in return.
